Today marked the final day of our rebuild project with all of the groundworks completed. We are so lucky to now have a school that has merged our beautiful original building with a more contemporary design. Our children have modern and fit for purpose facilities that we’re sure will serve Sutton Bonington and the surrounding area for years to come. We’re looking forward to being able to welcome the community to have a look around in the new year - watch this space! 🙌🏻🌟🙌🏻

Having been in the school to watch school productions this week, can say it is a wonderful building. Thank you to all the staff for the extra work they have done, especially during the half term holiday. Enjoy your Christmas, all of you.
I was the Headteacher there for 5 years from January 1998. Absolutely loved it there. The new building looks great. Xx
Our Culture Champions have been spreading some festive cheer recently by teaching us all about St Nicholas Day. In some European countries, this is celebrated on 6th December with children cleaning their shoes and leaving them out for St Nicholas to leave them a gift. Last week our main corridor was full of freshly cleaned shoes with all of the children finding that a treat had been left for them! Thank you, Culture Champions - what a lovely tradition to share with us all! 🌟🎅🏻🌟

Year 5 had a fantastic day out last week at the National Space Centre in Leicester. The visit was part of the children’s science work about space and really enhanced what they had been learning about in class - the planetarium was a particular highlight! Great work, Year 5!

Some of our Year 6 children had a great time at Trent College this afternoon taking part in a fantasy book event. The children worked alongside other schools to solve different puzzles and challenges in the main library before completing a quiz about all things fantasy! A big thank you to the Trent College staff - we really enjoyed ourselves!
